Our Menlo Park dentist strives to provide his patients with the information that they need to keep their teeth healthy. But even with the best care, things can happen. That’s why we offer a variety of restorative procedures to get your smile back on track.

Dental Implants

Whether you need to replace a single tooth at the front of your smile or all of them at once, implants offer one of the most predictable forms of smile restoration in modern dentistry. The artificial tooth roots can last for the rest of your life. They can be used to support a single crown, bridge, or even an All-on-4 denture.

White Teeth Fillings

Composite fillings are less invasive than traditional amalgam restorations. Not only do they match the shade of the surrounding tooth structure, the material also bonds directly with the tooth. This allows us to remove less tooth structure around the cavity, so your natural tooth is better preserved. Dr. Hoffman is happy to change out old silver fillings upon request. Do you need to have a cavity filled? Tooth decay symptoms can include:

  • Pain or sensitivity
  • Surfaces that feel sharp or rough to your tongue
  • Food getting stuck in specific areas of your mouth
  • Tooth discoloration

Dental Bridges and Dental Crowns

A bridge is used to replace a missing tooth when there are structurally sound teeth on either side of the gap. Each end of the bridge consists of a crown that is used to anchor it in place. Crowns are full coverage restorations that we use to preserve teeth when they have lost a significant amount of volume due to fractures, decay, or large old fillings. The crown covers the entire tooth surface up to the gums, so that you can continue using it normally. Depending on the location of the tooth, Dr. Hoffman may recommend using porcelain or gold materials.

Inlays and Onlays

Materials can include gold or porcelain.

Full and Partial Dentures

Removable dentures and partials are an economical solution to quickly replace missing teeth. We also offer a snap-in denture option that can be better secured with implant locators, but that is still removable at the end of the day. If your current denture is uncomfortable or causing pain, it may be time to have it adjusted, relined, or replaced. A denture that fits properly should not cause any sore spots.
